Soldier in riot gear?

Something to notice within the Peifer/Soldier entry scene. Look between these two, forward and slightly up and you will see quite cleary marked on the facing wall that the Elevator to the right of entry where Gules supposedly immediately saw two people being burned to death from jet fuel which came down that particular shaft, only catered for the floors 9 thru to 40.

At level 44 was the Firsr sky lobby. So this elevator would have had to be exited at 40, and an escalator ride to another floor in order to get into another elevator to reach the levels up to the plane.

So any fuel would have had to hitch a ride on at least two elavators and a small detour across the skylobby. This may have slowed it down a tad don't you think, thereby severely weakening its force.

As far as I can ascertain to date, there was only one express eleavator catering to all floors from the lobby to 110 and if I am looking at the plan right it was situated on the north side where the "plane" hit. If I am correct, this means that any damage from fuel down that elevator shaft would have been in the area of the Command Station? I have not seen any data to say there were any trade/catering type elevators covering this distance complete.

I have read articles where people have fallen many floors within an elevator cubicle and survived. They are pretty sturdy things. Most deaths involving elevators occur when people try to leave the cubicle.

So are we to believe that these people were set alight whilst inside. I doubt that would be possible. Did they get burned to death because the force managed to blow the cubicle through the safety doors and they were engulfed by the following inferno? I don't see too much evidence to support that either. And don't forget in one interview cheif Williams I think, talks of dozens of bodies in charred contorted agony within the lobby area.

Spook in bullet proof vest?
