Tony on the Train

This clip shows Tony taking the subway down to Michael Gorumba's funeral in Staten Island, on Saturday, September 1, 2001. Tony is alone, except of course for his ever-ready cameraman, one of the Naudet brothers. (We're not told which brother.)

Apparently Tony's Manhattan firehouse did not travel to the funeral together in any organized way. But surely they will show their unit cohesion at the funeral itself, right? Surely they would not send a lone rookie, as the sole representative of "one of the largest firehouses in the city?" [Engine 7, Ladder 1]

The still shot shows a creepy, bloody, angular, W-shaped wound on Tony's
RIGHT cheek. How did Tony get such an irregular incision? Shaving with
some exotic kitchen gadget? Initiating into some fraternity?
